TEACHER OF ENGLISH - September 2017

Skinners' is a high achieving boys' grammar school with an emphasis on exceptional learning, pastoral care and extra-curricular activity.  Our pupils are intelligent, motivated, and a pleasure to teach.

We would like an energetic and inspiring English Teacher to join us in September 2017.  The post could suit NQTs or more experienced teachers.  There will be the opportunity for the right candidate to take on an area of responsibility at the school immediately, and we would happily discuss this at interview.

The successful candidate will:

  • foster high quality teaching and learning in English at KS3, 4 and 5
  • be able to inspire and enthuse students
  • have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Results are excellent at both GCSE and A level.  Take up at A level is high and English was the second most popular degree course chosen by our leavers in 2016.

TEACHER OF PHYSICS - September 2017

Skinners' is a high achieving boys' grammar school with an emphasis on exceptional learning, pastoral care and extra-curricular activity.  Our pupils are intelligent, motivated, and a pleasure to teach.

We are looking for a talented and energetic Teacher of Physics to join us to teach throughout the key stages from September 2017.  Recruitment & Retention and Relocation available for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will:

  • have a love of Physics, and Science in general
  • be able to teach Physics to A level
  • be able to inspire and enthuse pupils
  • foster high quality teaching and learning
  • have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Results in Physics are impressive at both GCSE and A level.  AS/A2 take up in the subject is very high and many students go on to top universities, including Oxbridge, to read Physics, Natural Sciences and Engineering.
