2026 Year 7 Admission Information - Updated 2nd March

National Offer Day Information – 2nd March 2026 

Offers have been made to 160 applicants for September 2026 Year 7 entry.  

At this stage places have been offered in accordance with our over-subscription criteria, to those assessed as suitable for a grammar school place. 

140 places have been offered to those living in the West Kent Area. 124 of these places have been offered to boys who have all scored 372 or higher, ranked by distance. The furthest place offered is 5.474 miles (not including siblings or those in receipt of Pupil Premium). 16 Governors’ places have been awarded to boys, these places have been ranked by score, not distance.  The lowest score offered is 384

20 places have been offered to those living in the Outer Area who have all scored 372 or higher.  Currently the furthest place offered is 13.921 miles straight line distance from the school (not including siblings or those in receipt of Pupil Premium). 

Boys will be divided into five forms of 32 pupils. 

If you have not been offered a place at Skinners’ and wish to join the waiting list please follow the advice given in the offer letter you receive from Coordinated Admissions at KCC. 

If you wish to know the straight line distance from your home address to the school, please contact the Online Admissions Team at KCC and not Skinners’.

Admissions September 2026 Update – Kent PESE (11+) Results  

The Kent PESE (11+) pass mark for September 2026 entry to secondary school is 332, with no individual score lower than 108. 

The Skinners School Applications and Threshold Score – September 2026.  

Students who have been assessed suitable for grammar school in the PESE (11+) test will be ranked as follows, in accordance with our 2026 Admissions Arrangements: 

Children in Local Authority Care or Previously in Local Authority Care. 

West Kent Area – 124 Places allocated as follows: 

1. Children in receipt of Pupil Premium – up to 16 places (Ranked by high score). 

2. Siblings of current students with a minimum score of 372. 

3. Sons of staff, with a minimum score of 372 

4. Boys with a minimum score of 372, ranked by straight-line distance from the school. 

West Kent Area Governors’ Places – 16 Places 

Up to 16 Governors’ places will be offered to children living in our West Kent area (full details are defined in our Admissions Arrangements) who scored highest in the PESE (11+) Kent Test. 

Outer Area – 20 Places 

1. Siblings of current students with a minimum score of 372. 

2. Sons of staff, with a minimum score of 372. 

3. Boys with a minimum score of 372, living in our Outer Area ranked by straight-line distance from 

    the school.
