A stupendous day for Skinners' rugby as the 1st XV, 2nd XV and Under 16A teams all put Judd to the sword on their home ground at Vizards. Judd's 1st XV certainly put up a great fight, going ahead 17 to 3 in the first half. It looked like they may well get their revenge for losing to Skinners' at Southfields in the National Cup earlier this season. But no. With fire and fury Skinners' came charging back, scoring 3 tries in the first 10 minutes of the 2nd half to take the lead. Though Judd came back with a 2nd half try, a further two successful penalty kicks from Skinners', the final kick at the death, made no doubt that Skinners' were the worthy champions, winning 28 : 22. The last time Skinners' 1st XV played Judd twice and beat them twice in a season was in 1927 and Judd have never achieved a double win in one season - so a truly historic game - capping a very successful season - played 18, won 16. Well done boys!
